Meet, Eric
He's a pincushion
"I'm made out of an old sweatshirt."
Legal Name: Eric the Stoneman Pincushion
Date of birth: 10.4.2021
I started by hand sewing together his body and stuffing it with poly-fill.
Making Process
I sewed his arms by tightly to the sides of the his body. After, I cut his hands out using a styrene stencil.
Then I made an internal structure out of styrene for his arms. I wrapped it with the same fabric and stuffed poly-fill in between for volume and cushion.
The two sides of each hand were sewn together and stuffed with poly-fill.
Finally, the hands were sown to the arms and I cut the eyes out of felt. I added a bead of hot glue under the pupil to give his eyes a little glimmer of life.
And thus, Eric was born.
